CAN Principles and Practice: terms of purchase
Effective October 19, 2026.
These terms cover buying CAN Principles and Practice from CANbus Academy. Use of the site and its content is also covered by the CANbus Academy Terms of Service.
What you get
- A one-time payment gives you one year of access, starting when the payment goes through.
- Access is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
- Lessons added or updated while you have access are included at no extra cost.
Team seats
- Each seat gives one learner CAN Principles and Practice for a year from the purchase, and stays with them once they start.
- Orders of 11 or more seats are by quote.
How the course is delivered
- The course is text-first for now. Some lessons and recently edited sections have no narration yet and are read as text, and some older videos and slides show an on-screen note where a fact has been corrected.
- The labs and the graded diagnosis lab run on simulated networks in your browser. They test how you measure and reason, not work on a real machine.
The certificate
A certificate of completion means:
- The learner finished every lesson of this online course, solved practice problems in each of its modules that has them and scored 70% or more on its final CAN skills check.
- The course's labs run on simulated networks. This certificate does not assess work on a real machine.
- It is a record of course completion, not an accredited certification, and it is not endorsed by any standards body.
